Property Maintenance Technician (temp)

Apartment Maintenance Technician Location: Elmwood Park, NJ 07407 Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm Duration: 30 days Job Duties: -Perform routine maintenance and repairs across apartments and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, appliances, and unit turnovers. -Respond quickly to resident service requests and complete work orders efficiently to maintain resident satisfaction and property standards. -Prepare vacant units for new residents by conducting inspections, repairs, cleaning, and make-ready improvements. -Support overall property operations through preventative inspections, seasonal maintenance, safety compliance, vendor coordination, and participation in emergency on-call services. Job Requirements: -Minimum 2 years of property maintenance experience with knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general construction. -Skilled in safely operating hand and power tools, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with residents, vendors, and team members. -High school diploma or equivalent required; must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders.
