Job Description
PROJECT MANAGER - PIPELINE Confidential Search San Diego County, CA On-Site Direct Hire Hiring on behalf of an established Southern California infrastructure contractor. The employer is disclosed to candidates who move forward.
THE ROLE Price the work, then run it. You estimate and bid pipeline and gas distribution projects, then manage the jobs you win from award through closeout. The seat sits in field gas operations, with a clear path to broader responsibility.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Review bid instructions and project plan documents Run quantity take-offs for self-performed and subcontracted scopes Request subcontractor and material quotes and select vendors Build bids in estimating software and review them with operations Prepare bid packages: work plans, schedules, pricing sheets and written deliverables Manage awarded projects: submittals, RFIs, notices, scheduling and billing Own client communication through the life of the job
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 4-year degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or 8 years in a comparable role Project management experience in pipeline, gas or underground utility construction Experience with Southern California public utility clients preferred Estimating, scheduling and construction accounting software experience a plus Strong written and verbal communication, with real attention to detail Degree in business management, project management or construction engineering preferred
COMPENSATION $100,000 - $130,000 base depending on experience, plus medical, dental and vision, 401(k) with company match, and paid vacation, holiday and sick time.
