Job Description

An established mechanical contractor is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial and institutional mechanical construction projects throughout South Florida. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, manpower, subcontractors, materials, and customer relationships from project kickoff through closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical contracting and the ability to successfully coordinate field operations, project finances, and customer expectations. Responsibilities: Manage multiple mechanical construction projects from planning through project closeout Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and resource allocation Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and customers Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation Manage project costs, billings, change orders, forecasting, and financial performance Prepare estimates, proposals, change orders, and customer pricing requests Track project progress and proactively address schedule, cost, or operational concerns Conduct jobsite visits to support field teams, monitor progress, and resolve issues Maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, schedules, and as-built records Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and quality requirements Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams Mentor Assistant Project Managers and support the development of field personnel Qualifications: 5+ years of project management experience within mechanical construction Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, piping, mechanical systems, or MEP construction Experience managing projects valued at $1MM+ Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and subcontractor coordination Experience preparing estimates, change orders, and customer proposals Experience with project financial forecasting and labor tracking Experience with AIA documentation and Schedule of Values (SOV) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Valid driver's license Med-Gas experience a plus but not required
