Production Planning Specialist

Description:
Lotte Chemical Alabama Corp. is seeking a qualified Production Planning Specialist to support production planning and materials coordination for its engineering plastics manufacturing operations in Auburn, Alabama. This position is responsible for coordinating production schedules, material requirements, inventory, production data, and manufacturing systems to support efficient and continuous production operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, sales forecasts, inventory levels, production capacity, and material availability;
- Coordinate production plans and production orders using SCM, MES, ERP, and SAP systems;
- Calculate raw material and packaging material requirements based on production schedules, BOM data, inventory levels, and expected material receipts;
- Monitor inventory, material movements, production output, yield, and production results and identify discrepancies requiring adjustment;
- Review and maintain production orders, including BOM requirements, batch sizes, production-line capacity, and manufacturing instructions;
- Coordinate with production, quality, sales, logistics, and related departments to support production schedules and prevent production disruptions;
- Analyze production performance and recommend improvements to production flow, facility layout, equipment readiness, and manufacturing efficiency; and
- Maintain accurate production and inventory data and support production planning and month-end production review activities.

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;
- Minimum 4 years of experience preferred in production planning, manufacturing operations, materials planning, or a related field; and
- Experience with ERP, SAP, MES, or similar manufacturing systems preferred.
