Job Description
Position: Production Control Specialist
The ERP Production Control Specialist supports manufacturing operations by coordinating production planning, monitoring production performance, and maintaining accurate production and inventory data through the Companys ERP system. The position works closely with production, inventory, logistics, and other operational teams to ensure efficient production flow, accurate system records, and timely fulfillment of customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and monitor daily and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, production capacity, inventory levels, and manufacturing requirements.
Utilize ERP systems to process, monitor, and reconcile production results, inventory movements, material consumption, and other production-related transactions.
Analyze production capacity, including UPH (Units Per Hour), line utilization, and manpower requirements, to support efficient allocation of production resources.
Monitor inventory accuracy and material flow and support FIFO (First-In, First-Out) controls to minimize excess, obsolete, or inactive inventory.
Review and verify Bill of Materials (BOM) data and investigate discrepancies affecting production reporting, inventory records, or material requirements.
Coordinate production activities with manufacturing and logistics teams to support JIT (Just-In-Time) and JIS (Just-In-Sequence) customer delivery requirements.
Perform daily and monthly production closing activities and reconcile ERP production records with actual production and inventory data.
Analyze production and inventory data using ERP systems and spreadsheet-based reporting tools and prepare operational reports for management.
Support new product launches, production ramp-ups, and changes in production volume by reviewing capacity, material requirements, and production readiness.
Identify production-control and ERP data discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
Prior experience in manufacturing production control, production planning, or a related manufacturing operations function.
Experience with ERP-based production planning, production reporting, or inventory control systems.
Working knowledge of production scheduling, inventory control, production capacity analysis, and manufacturing data management.
Familiarity with BOM structures and the reconciliation of production and inventory data.
Knowledge of JIT/JIS manufacturing or supply-chain operations preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data-analysis and reporting tools.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across production, logistics, inventory, and other operational teams.
