Position: Production Control and Process Specialist
Daechang Alabama, Inc. is seeking a Production Control and Process Specialist to support production planning, manufacturing-process monitoring, production-data management, and process improvement activities in an automotive manufacturing environment. This position will coordinate with production, quality, materials, maintenance, and engineering personnel to maintain accurate production information, address operational issues, and support stable and efficient manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor daily production schedules, output, work-in-process, material availability, and process status to support production targets.
Enter, review, and maintain production, material, inventory, and process-related information in MES, ERP, and other manufacturing systems.
Compare system records with actual production and inventory information and investigate discrepancies affecting production accuracy.
Collect and analyze data relating to production output, defects, downtime, material usage, inventory, and process performance.
Document production interruptions, system errors, material issues, and process abnormalities and coordinate follow-up actions with relevant departments.
Coordinate with production, quality, materials, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve production and process-related issues.
Review manufacturing workflows, work sequences, material flow, and production-control procedures and recommend operational improvements.
Conduct or support product and material inspections and maintain accurate inspection and production records.
Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile physical quantities with MES, ERP, and other system records.
Prepare production reports, data summaries, charts, and performance analyses using Microsoft Excel and related applications.
Develop and update work instructions, standard operating procedures, process documents, and employee training materials.
Support the implementation of production and process changes and verify that revised procedures and system requirements are properly followed.
Provide training and technical guidance to production employees regarding manufacturing systems, data-entry procedures, and process-control requirements.
Support new-product launches, production trials, and continuous-improvement activities.
Perform other production-control and process-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
Hands-on experience in manufacturing, production control, process improvement, quality, materials management, or a related area; qualifying experience may include internships, co-op programs, or other structured practical training.
Experience using MES, ERP, production-monitoring, or similar manufacturing systems preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production-data management, materials control, inventory reconciliation, and process documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify discrepancies, review production data, and maintain accurate manufacturing-system records.
Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with production employees and cross-functional departments.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
