Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated Production Associate (Level I - Machining) to operate machines and production equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role involves performing machining operations, inspections, and equipment handling while adhering to safety, quality, and productivity standards. Limited guidance will be provided, so candidates must be self-starters with strong hands-on skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machines and rotate within machining workstations.
  • Perform power wash cleaning of cranks and cylinder blocks.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of crankshafts and cylinder blocks.
  • Record process results and follow documented instructions.
  • Support problem-solving investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards:
  • Report hazards, injuries, or incidents immediately.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Engage in HSE training and promote workplace safety.
  • Maintain quality standards:
  • Follow process documentation and quality procedures (SPC, poka-yoke, visual standards).
  • Perform inspections and identify non-conforming materials.
  • Achieve production goals:
  • Work at required cycle times.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform routine housekeeping and operator care tasks.
  • Collaborate with peers and support staff to identify equipment needing repair.
  • Contribute to teamwork and communication:
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Participate in training and personal development.
  • Suggest improvements in quality, safety, and process efficiency.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience with machines and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating milling machines.
  • Background in manufacturing or machining environments.

Certifications (if any)
  • Licensing may be required for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
