LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Plant Finance Manager to serve as a key financial leader within a manufacturing environment. This role will partner closely with plant leadership to drive operational performance, ensure financial accuracy, and deliver meaningful insights that support business decisions.
The Plant Finance Manager will own all plant-level financial activities, acting as the primary liaison between operations and finance. This individual will play a hands-on role in monitoring costs, managing inventory, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Responsibilities:
Lead all accounting and financial activities for the plant, including general ledger, cost accounting, and financial reporting
Manage and execute the month-end and year-end close process with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead, and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance
Develop and maintain standard costs and monitor production variances to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Partner with plant leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning efforts
Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, physical inventory, reconciliations, and valuation
Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Support capital investment decisions through financial modeling and return on investment analysis
Provide clear financial insight and reporting to both plant leadership and corporate stakeholders
Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis
Proven ability to partner with operations and influence business decisions
Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes
Advanced Excel skills and experience working within an ERP system
QAD experience
