About the Opportunity: This is a combined Trauma and Surgical Critical Care role within a Level I Adult & Pediatric Trauma Center ICU Service Model includes: 7 consecutive days on service (standard ICU block model) Night ICU coverage is supported by Emergency Intensive Care, so there is overnight backup Trauma Coverage includes: Weekdays with 2 attendings, one covering new trauma activations and the OR, and one handling rounding and backup Weekends include: 1 daytime attending with a 24-hour in-house call Shifts are: Weekdays are 10-14 hours, and Weekends are 24-hour in-house call Call Frequency is 45 overnight calls per month Strong resident coverage (24/7) This is a true academic role, not a community-based trauma position Academic appointment commensurate with experience Research is required Robust salary and benefits package About the Area: Centrally located, just 47 miles west of Boston and 39 miles to Providence This diverse city has a Regional Airport and nine colleges and universities The community has recently seen growth in the biotechnology, research, manufacturing, and healthcare industries.
