Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Board-Certified General Surgery Physician to join a collaborative and highly respected medical team. This is a long-term locum tenens opportunity in a modern, well-equipped clinical environment where patient safety and quality of care are top priorities.The physician will provide comprehensive General Surgery care in both outpatient and operative settings, working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality surgical outcomes.ResponsibilitiesDeliver the full range of General Surgery services consistent with the standards of a state-of-the-art clinical facilityManage and treat patients in clinic and the operating room in accordance with current TJC and national surgical standardsEnsure patients are seen in a timely manner and that cancelled appointments are rescheduled within 10 business daysProvide education and supervision of health professions trainees rotating through the Surgery ServiceMaintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record systemParticipate in on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the clinical scheduleQualificationsBoard Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Surgery (ABS)Current, full and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealthCurrent BLS and ACLS certification (must be maintained throughout the contract)Ability to meet all ongoing Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirementsDemonstrated technical proficiency in General Surgery with strong English communication skillsCollaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care and trainee educationScheduleClinic Hours: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PMOn-call coverage required during all off-hours, including evenings, weekends, and federal holidaysOn-call availability: phone response within 15 minutes; onsite within 60 minutesBenefitsHighly competitive compensationLong-term locums contract with strong renewal potentialHousing stipend options (negotiable)Travel/mileage reimbursement availableComprehensive credentialing and onboarding supportWhy Join Vigilant Healthcare Solutions?
