Quick Facts Location: Steubenville, OH Start Date: 09/05/2026 End Date/Duration: Ongoing coverage as needed Shift: Inpatient, 24-hour call (including 4 hours gratis), night call (2 hours gratis), Monday Sunday Hours/week: 40+ (includes call duties) Employment Type: Locum/Temporary License/Certs: Ohio Medical License, Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery Experience: 3+ years in cardiothoracic surgery with inpatient care experience Pay & Benefits Pay package discussed upon application Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, credentialing, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You ll Do Round on inpatients with cardiovascular surgical needs Manage emergent surgical procedures, including CABG, thoracic, and vascular surgeries (bonus if experienced) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care Provide expert consultation for complex cardiovascular cases Handle telephonic and on-call responsibilities, including emergent interventions Document patient care accurately using emergency medical records systems Ensure all procedures and patient management comply with hospital protocols and standards What You Need Ohio Medical License and Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery Minimum 3+ years of inpatient cardiovascular surgical experience Ability to perform CABG, thoracic, and vascular procedures Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to be on-call for emergency procedures and patient management Preferred Experience with complex vascular surgeries Prior locum or temporary assignment experience About the Assignment Join a prominent facility in Steubenville, Ohio, providing urgent cardiovascular surgical services in an inpatient setting.
