Quick Facts: Location: Lima, OH Start Date: 07/11/2026 Shift: 24-hour call shifts (TBD dates) Hours/Week: Variable, based on call schedule Employment Type: Locum/Contract Licenses/Certifications: Board-certified in Surgery with Cardiothoracic specialization Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cardiothoracic Surgery Pay & Benefits: Pay package discussed upon application Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Competitive hourly pay (rate to be specified) Access to licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws What You ll Do: Provide expert Cardiothoracic surgical procedures including CABG, arterial revascularization, redo coronary revascularizations, and valve surgeries Participate in hospital-based rounding and trauma-level care (Level 2) Handle patient assessments, diagnostics, and documentation using EMR systems such as EPIC Collaborate with hospital support staff and anesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes Manage emergent and scheduled cases efficiently, maintaining high-quality care standards Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients Assist with patient follow-up, post-operative recovery, and ongoing case management What You Need: Required: Valid medical license in Ohio Board-certified or eligible in Surgery with Cardiothoracic subspecialty Minimum 2 years relevant surgical experience Ability to perform complex cardiothoracic procedures Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred: Previous locum or hospital-based surgical experience Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR software Commitment to patient-centered care in a hospital setting About the Assignment: Join a leading healthcare facility in Lima, Ohio, providing specialized cardiothoracic surgical care in a dynamic hospital environment.
