Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist Physician to join a collaborative and highly respected behavioral health team. This is a long-term locum tenens opportunity in a modern, well-equipped clinical environment serving a diverse patient population across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.The physician will provide comprehensive psychiatric care including evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and crisis intervention working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health outcomes.ResponsibilitiesPerform psychiatric evaluations for a diverse patient population, including geriatric patients and those with complex psychosocial challenges such as PTSD, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and psychosisProvide a full range of therapeutic interventions including diagnostic assessment, medication evaluation and management, suicide risk assessments, and crisis interventionManage psychiatric emergencies, including assessments for potential inpatient hospitalizationDeliver psycho-diagnostic services and utilize appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques across outpatient, inpatient, ED, and telehealth settingsOrder diagnostic tests and consultations and make independent, evidence-based treatment decisionsMay serve as mental health team leader, coordinating consults and triage of specialty clinic referralsParticipate in team meetings, treatment planning conferences, and collaborate with multidisciplinary care team membersMay participate in supervision and teaching in support of the psychiatric residency programQualificationsBoard Certified or Board Eligible in PsychiatryMD or DO degree from an accredited institution approved for graduate medical educationCurrent, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealthCompleted residency training in an ACGME or AOA accredited psychiatry programStrong proficiency in spoken and written EnglishValid driver's license and personal vehicle for community-based care activitiesScheduleInpatient and outpatient coverage based on clinical needOn-call duties as required by the behavioral health service scheduleBenefitsHighly competitive compensationLong-term locums contract with strong renewal potentialHousing stipend options (negotiable)Travel/mileage reimbursement availableComprehensive credentialing and onboarding supportWhy Join Vigilant Healthcare Solutions?
