New Mexico rural Pediatric opening Position Overview Full-time BE/BC Pediatrician Employed by Hospital system Mix of outpatient pediatrics with newborn nursery coverage No high-acuity inpatient pediatrics (hospital does not run a dedicated pediatric inpatient unit) Level I II nursery; higher acuity transfers go Albuquerque, NM or Lubbock, TX J-1 or H1-B cap exempt sponsorship availabe Clinical Structure Outpatient clinic located adjacent to facility Newborn rounding shared with family medicine Call: typically, low volume; shared rotation Patient population: high Medicaid mix, strong community need for pediatric access Compensation & Benefits (systemwide norms) Base salary is negotiable: usually $250k $300k range depending on experience Sign-on bonus: commonly $20k $40k Relocation: provided Quality incentives: annual Occurrence malpractice (no tail needed) 403(b) with employer match, CME funds, medical/dental/vision NHSC/PSLF eligible (area qualifies as a shortage area) Community City is a low-cost, family-friendly community near the Texas border 1 hour to Lubbock, 2 hours to Amarillo Strong Air Force presence (Cannon AFB)
