JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Fargo, ND Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: Sep 07, 2026 Ongoing Call Schedule: 24-hour shifts 2-3 days per month; weekdays preferred Call Type: In-House Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average No of Deliveries per month: 120 Case Mix: OB/GYN, Low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, VBACs, C-sections FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 16 LDRP rooms EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Low risk pregnancy High risk pregnancy FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation Level I/Screening (viability) Routine delivery: Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for c-section Complicated delivery: C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc. Surgical gynecology (Open; Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation; Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, LOA's) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified Licenses: Licensed in ND or IMLC Experience: Comfortable with VBACs and C-sections; Epic experience strongly preferred Duties & Responsibilities Provide laborist coverage including deliveries, c-sections, and VBACs. Work collaboratively with midwives and nursing staff. Manage high-risk and low-risk pregnancies. Perform OB ultrasounds and fetal monitoring interpretation. Provide in-house call coverage for OB emergencies.
