Job Description

We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Physician for an exciting 120-day locum tenens assignment in New Mexico, starting Jul 6, 2026. The schedule involves consistent daytime hours, typically 8a-5p, with no evening or overnight shifts. This role provides opportunities to engage in various radiology subspecialties, contribute to multidisciplinary conferences, teach, mentor, and participate in research, all while providing comprehensive nuclear medicine imaging services.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work within a collaborative academic environment alongside nationally recognized nuclear medicine radiologists and medical physicists.
  • Provide comprehensive nuclear medicine imaging services, including PET/CT (Rb-82 cardiac PET, Ga-68/Cu-64 DOTATATE PET, F-18 PSMA PET).
  • Perform Theranostics, including Lu-177 PRRT, Pluvicto, and I-131 therapies for thyroid cancer.
  • Deliver general adult and pediatric nuclear medicine (diagnostic and therapeutic) services, including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and nuclear cardiology.
  • Participate in other radiology subspecialties as interest or training dictates.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards.
  • Teach and mentor residents and fellows.
  • Engage in research activities, leveraging 7T PET/MRI facilities and dedicated research staff.
