Quick Facts Location: Roanoke, VA (1906 Belleview Avenue Southeast) Start Date: Insert Start Date Duration: Permanent full-time Shift: Typically standard clinical hours, leadership responsibilities residential requirement Hours/Week: Full-time Employment Type: Permanent License/Certs: Board Certified in Neonatology Experience: Minimum of residency completion; prior leadership or academic experience preferred Pay & Benefits Pay: Competitive salary package to be discussed at interview Additional Compensation: Potential sign-on bonus and relocation assistance Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program, work-life balance initiatives What You'll Do Provide expert clinical care in a high-acuity Level IIIB NICU with 60 beds and approximately 625 admissions annually Serve as Practice Medical Director, overseeing clinical operations, quality initiatives, and provider performance Lead and implement quality improvement and patient safety programs Drive clinical innovation, including advanced therapies such as high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide Collaborate with hospital leadership and academic partners to expand neonatal services Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows Support scholarly activities, research, and academic development Work alongside multidisciplinary teams including maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric surgery What You Need Required: Board Certification in Neonatology (MD/DO) Residency in Neonatology, with eligibility to practice in Virginia Experience in neonatal intensive care and leadership roles Strong communication and team collaboration skills Preferred: Prior academic or quality improvement experience Experience with advanced neonatal therapies and multidisciplinary collaboration About the Assignment Join a leading facility in Roanoke, Virginia, known for its commitment to clinical excellence, academic partnership, and comprehensive neonatal services.
