Facility in Richmond, VA seeking GI locums coverageRates: $5000/dayOpportunity HighlightsStatus: STAT NEED for February 2327.Schedule: Various MondayFriday and FridayMonday blocks available throughout 2026.Support: Lab and X-Ray on-site; integrated care with Internal Medicine and Surgery teams.EMR: Epic.Clinical Scope & ProceduresThe physician will manage an average of 8 procedures per week across various specialties including Hepatology and General GI.Required Procedures:Upper GI Endoscopy: Diagnostic/Therapeutic, Biopsy, Foreign Body Removal, Fulguration of Bleeder, Injection/Banding of Varices, and PEG tube placement.Lower GI Endoscopy: Colonoscopy and Sigmoidoscopy.Advanced Procedures: ERCP (Required) and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) (Preferred).Additional Duties: Esophageal Manometry/Dilatation, Liver Biopsy, and Sengstaken-Blakemore tube management.Available DatesFebruary: 2/23 2/27 (Stat Need)April: 4/3 4/6May: 5/1 5/4, 5/4 5/8June/July: 6/29 7/3, 7/31 8/3August: 8/17 8/21September: 9/7 9/11, 9/11 9/14October: 10 16, 10 19, 10 23December/Jan: 12 25, 12 28, 12/28 1/1, 1/1 1/4Provider RequirementsBoard Status: Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Required).Licensure: Active Virginia Medical License (Required).Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERCP is mandatory.Liability: Minimum coverage of $2.6M (to meet Virginias malpractice damage cap requirements).Certifications: Current Flu shot (Required); COVID-19 vaccine (Highly Preferred).Submission Documents: Self-Query NPDB report dated within the last 30 days must be included at the time of presentation.About WhiteCoat Locums:- Physician owned and led agency- Highest-Pay rates on the market- $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail- 100% transparent
