• Schedule: 9/4/2026 - 9/8/2026; 24-hour call including 2 hours of gratis. Additional coverage needs may arise for the last quarter of the year.
• Job Setting: Inpatient - (15-bed department; Trauma Level 3 facility)
• Types of Cases: Average 2-5 consults/day. Responsibilities include seeing and evaluating patients, follow-up, providing recommendations, and performing endoscopy as indicated. Clear communication with consultants and clear sign-outs are expected. ERCP and EUS are not performed at this facility.
  
  Required Procedures/Skills:
  • Upper GI Endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices)
  • Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry
  • Esophageal Manometry Interpretation
  • Small Bowel Biopsy
  • Lower GI Endoscopy
  • Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible and Rigid)
  • Colonoscopy (with biopsy and excision of polyp)
  • Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube
• Credentialing: Up to 90 days

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS required
• Licensure: Active Mississippi (MS) state license required. IMLC is not sufficient given current licensing timelines.
