Physical Therapist - School Setting in Bath, ME

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide expert care and support to students as a part-time Physical Therapist with this fulfilling contract role in a school-based environment. You'll play a key role in enhancing student mobility, independence, and participation in school activities, working with children from kindergarten through eighth grade. This unique opportunity offers consistent, manageable hours-4 hours each week-supporting students both during Summer school (July 7 to July 30, 2026) and the academic year (August 24, 2026 to June 11, 2027).

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Ability to assess and implement individualized treatment plans
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability in dynamic educational settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services for students K-8 as directed by their IEPs
• Assess student needs and document progress regularly
• Participate in planning and evaluation meetings with school staff
• Provide training and consultation to teachers and caregivers, ensuring carryover of therapeutic interventions
• Support students in achieving functional mobility and independence within the academic environment
