The Phlebotomist II supports a high-volume clinical or laboratory setting by performing blood draws and other specimen collections, ensuring accurate labeling and processing, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards. This role assists with troubleshooting, training, and workflow improvement, while delivering courteous, professional service to patients and clinical staff.
Responsibilities
This position operates in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting that handles a high volume of patient specimens. The role involves frequent interaction with patients of all ages, as well as collaboration with clinical and laboratory staff. You will regularly use phlebotomy equipment such as straight and butterfly needles, centrifuges, specimen tubes, and collection containers, along with computer systems and the Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and communication. Work typically requires standing for extended periods, moving between patient areas and the laboratory, and managing multiple tasks under time-sensitive conditions while adhering strictly to OSHA and DEP regulations and all safety and infection control procedures.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
