Job Description

Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric physician to join a newly established outpatient-only practice. Responsibilities

  • Admit (if applicable to setting), evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients from birth to young adulthood (21 years of age) concerning their physical, emotional, and social health
  • Treat acute and chronic disease, including major complicated illnesses
  • Provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies (if applicable)
  • Assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services

Shift & Schedule

  • Office hours: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Experience demonstrating clinical activity for the past 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications, or a residency log if just completed residency
  • Ability to demonstrate at least 50 pediatric patients in the last 12 months
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency Pediatric program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/sub-specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
