About the PracticeNevada Pediatric Specialists is a locally owned, pediatrician-owned group founded in 2008 by a Las Vegas pediatrician who still sees patients. Not a hospital division, not a private-equity roll-up, not an urgent care. Decisions get made down the hall.
What that means day to day: your own panel, one office, one team, and genuine continuity of care. Parent call is rotated equitably among our advanced practice clinicians, with pediatric RNs handling parent calls until 5 p.m. weekdays, a clinician-direct window from 5 to 10 p.m. on non-holiday weekdays, and an RN on call beside you after 10 p.m. weekdays plus all weekends and holidays. Our pediatricians carry the newborn nursery. In-house lab, telemedicine, same-day and walk-in access, online scheduling, and a 24-hour pediatric nurse advice line for established patients keep charting and after-hours noise from following you home. Clinical standards are current and evidence-based full AAP-aligned immunization standards, universal electronic behavioral health screening, integrated behavioral health with REACH-trained providers, and ADHD, asthma, and weight-management programming.
We are opening Saturday clinic hours at our Henderson office, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and this position carries them, with regular front desk and medical assistant support on site. In exchange you take either a pay differential for the Saturday shift or a full weekday off, your choice. We put that in the ad rather than saving it for a second interview.
Advanced practice clinicians who want more can take on quality improvement, behavioral health integration, practice-level initiatives, and NP student precepting. 4.88 stars across more than 855 family reviews.
Southern Nevada offers no state income tax, short commutes, and a cost of living far below coastal markets, with Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead, and Mount Charleston all within an hour and nonstop flights nationwide from Harry Reid International.
