Our cutting-edge solutions power the testing and validation of semiconductor devices, enabling our clients to deliver reliable, high-quality products to the global market. We are seeking a talented and experienced PCB Designer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of excellence in PCB design.

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled PCB Designer with expertise in Cadence Allegro to support the development of complex, high-density PCBs for semiconductor ATE applications. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in PCB design and a proven ability to coordinate design activities with global teams. This role requires strong technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, and robust project management capabilities to ensure seamless collaboration with our overseas design resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • PCB Design and Development: Utilize Cadence Allegro to design, layout, and verify high-density, multi-layer PCBs for semiconductor ATE systems, ensuring compliance with performance, signal integrity, and manufacturability requirements
  • Design Coordination: Collaborate with overseas design teams to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring consistency and quality across all design phases.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage PCB design projects from concept to production, including defining project scopes, setting milestones, and tracking progress to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Perform schematic capture, component placement, routing, and design rule checks (DRC) to meet stringent ATE specifications, including high-speed signal integrity and power integrity requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, test engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet functional, thermal, and reliability requirements.
  • Documentation and Communication: Create detailed design documentation, including BOMs, fabrication, and assembly drawings, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve design issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices to enhance design processes and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in PCB design, with a strong focus on Cadence Allegro for schematic capture and PCB layout.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Cadence Allegro PCB Designer (version 17.x or higher preferred).
  • Experience designing high-density, multi-layer PCBs for high-speed and mixed-signal applications.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations in PCB design.
  • Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes, DFM (Design for Manufacturability), and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within specifications.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with global teams across different time zones.
  • Collaboration: Proven experience working with overseas design resources, including managing workflows, resolving conflicts, and ensuring clear communication.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the semiconductor ATE industry or related fields (e.g., RF, mixed-signal, or high-speed digital design).
  • Familiarity with additional PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or Mentor Graphics.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC, JEDEC, or MIL-SPEC for PCB design and manufacturing.
  • Experience with simulation tools for signal and power integrity analysis (e.g., HyperLynx, Sigrity).
  • PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.

Why Join Us?

  • Innovative Environment: Work on cutting-edge PCB designs that drive advancements in the semiconductor ATE industry.
  • Global Collaboration: Engage with a diverse, global team of engineers and designers to deliver world-class solutions.
  • Career Growth: Access opportunities for professional development and career advancement in a fast-paced, technology-driven company.
