As a Packaging Engineer/ Product Development Manager, you'll step into a high-impact, short-term backfill role supporting product development work across transversal projects. You'll be the go-to project leader for key initiatives-helping keep timelines on track, driving risk visibility, and enabling smooth execution from launch planning through completion. If you enjoy structured project management, strong Excel-based tracking, and collaborating across Marketing, Operations, and R&I to deliver quality outcomes, this role is built for you.

Location:Clark, NJ- hybrid

Pay Range: $45 - 51/hr

What's the Job?

  • Develop and manage project timelines, defining key tasks and milestones while minimizing risk to support on-time launches in compliance with the LOreal Quality system.
  • Present launch and transversal project reviews, driving risk escalations to Operational and Divisional leadership teams.
  • Guide Marketing through new innovation product briefs and conception definitions to support design alignment with Agility, Profitability, and LOreal For the Future (L4TF).
  • Lead project review meetings, drive resolution of roadblocks, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholder participation and ownership for transversal projects.
  • Analyze and drive launch viability across cost, timeline, and sustainability (L4TF), including feasibility costs and COG analysis, value analysis support, and QCP project management.

What's Needed?

  • Senior manager level experience (4-6 years) in package/product development and project management, preferably in cosmetics, consumer goods, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Operations, or a related technical discipline (technical packaging experience is a plus).
  • Strong project management skills with proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel for tracking and documentation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships across cross-functional teams, with clear written and verbal communication to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work onsite as an essential function of the position.
