A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Production Equipment Technician in Sumter, SC. The Production Equipment Technician / Production Mechanic will be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week. Compensation: The pay for this position is $23.50 per hour - biweekly Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates Highlights: This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs The required availability for this position is 12:00AM - 8:00AM (3rd Shift), Sunday - Thursday In-person interviews required Eye exam will be required contingent upon hire. This role requires 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses and/or successful completion of a color vision exam Responsibilities: Responsible for stepping in to repair machine breakdowns and troubleshoot production equipment issues Set-up, operate, optimize, changeover, troubleshoot, and maintain departmental production equipment Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production standards Troubleshoot speed, waste, and operational issues on high-speed manufacturing equipment Maintain accurate equipment logs, downtime records, and quality control documentation Monitor product quality and perform required Q.C. checks and process challenges Start up equipment and ensure proper functioning of machines and control panels Troubleshoot and repair cams, cam-followers, rod-ends, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gear-boxes, vacuum systems, pneumatic systems, ball-valves, and related mechanical systems Read and interpret machine blueprints and follow plant procedures/specifications Support upstream and downstream operations in a team-oriented environment Observe all safety, environmental, and Quality System Requirements (QSR) procedures Requirements: Mechanical troubleshooting experience required Hands-on mechanical background required Knowledge of feeler gauges and other tools used to measure tolerances, torque, and clearances Familiarity with conveyors, gear-boxes, pneumatic systems, vacuum systems, chain drives, cams, and mechanical components Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds Experience with automotive engines, boat engines, HVAC, machinist work, low-voltage electronics, or manufacturing equipment is highly preferred High-speed manufacturing experience is a plus Strong teamwork and continuous improvement mindset required Ability to maintain accurate written documentation and logs HS Diploma or GED required Education: Required: High School Diploma or GED If you are interested in this position, please apply directly to this job posting or email resume and job title to Jenise Nottage at
