# Orthopedic Hand Surgery Opportunity - Watertown, NYSyracuse 70m Position Details Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join the practice.

  • Hospital-employed start-up practice with plans to build to six surgeons supported by APPs, offering a wide spectrum of general and specialized orthopedic services
  • 4.5-day work week with creative, flexible scheduling options
  • Shared call 1:4, serving one hospital with minimal trauma emergencies
  • Underserved orthopedic area with a significant primary care referral base
  • Catchment population of 250,000 with a large network of providers offering a strong referral base
  • Office conveniently located near the hospital campus
  • Emergency orthopedic admissions handled by the hospitalist service, with consult to ortho
  • Two dedicated orthopedic operating rooms running back-to-back with block scheduling to enhance efficiency
  • New, modern, state-of-the-art surgical suites with 10+ exam rooms and an established robotics program
  • Dedicated surgical support including first assist, anesthesia, CRNA, RN, and scrub techs in a relaxed and supportive OR culture
  • Serving military personnel from a nearby Army installation
  • Teaching opportunities through accredited family medicine and internal medicine residency programs
  • Benefits Details
  • Guaranteed base salary: $800,000
  • Production bonus with total annual compensation of $1,000,000+
  • Sign-on bonus: $100,000
  • Education loan repayment: $20,000 per year
  • Relocation assistance: $15,000
  • CME allowance: $5,000
  • Malpractice: full coverage, occurrence-based

  • Requirements
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited orthopedic surgery residency, with hand fellowship training
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Able to provide a surgical case log demonstrating active experience over the past two years
  • Values patient-centered, team-based care with strong interpersonal and clinical skills
