Work Environment

As a member of our outpatient rehabilitation team, you will work onsite in our Brookhaven facility, where patient comfort and accessibility are paramount. The facility houses state-of-the-art equipment and therapy spaces designed to support effective rehabilitation practices. You will work Monday to Friday, with flexible scheduling options of either 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions to devise tailored therapy plans aimed at alleviating pain and enhancing mobility.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and education to facilitate optimal recovery and restore function.
• Participate actively in clinical teaching, serving as a mentor to physical therapy interns and facilitating their professional growth.
• Identify and address the educational needs of fellow staff members, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• With managerial support, initiate and engage in clinical research opportunities to contribute to evidence-based practice in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily engage with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse client population ranges from athletes seeking rehabilitation to older adults requiring assistance with functional mobility. Your expertise will directly contribute to their recovery journeys, enhancing their independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• An active Physical Therapy license for the state of New York is essential.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong patient-therapist relationships.
• Proficient clinical assessment skills and the capacity to implement evidence-based treatment strategies.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 - 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a solid salary, we provide an extensive benefits package that includes:
