Job Summary

The Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center is experiencing significant growth across its clinical, educational, and research missions and is seeking an ophthalmologist with fellowship training in uveitis to join our expanding faculty. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive uveitis care within UT Southwesterns faculty practice and affiliated teaching hospitals. This role offers the opportunity to participate actively in the education and mentorship of residents and fellows, as well as to engage in scholarly activity within a collaborative academic environment.

Position Highlights

  • Provide high-quality clinical care in uveitis and related ocular inflammatory conditions
  • Participate in the education and supervision of ophthalmology residents and fellows
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical research and academic contributions
  • Collaborate with departmental faculty across clinical, research, and educational initiatives

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency
  • Fellowship training in uveitis
  • Board-Certified/Board-Eligible
  • Eligible for Texas medical licensure
  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Academic rank and track will be commensurate with experience, training, and accomplishments.
