Position Summary
RSI is recruiting an Operations and Facilities Engineer who will be responsible for the technical operation, maintenance, and optimization of site facilities and infrastructure. This role applies mechanical engineering principles to ensure the reliability of site operations and treatment systems through hands-on field assessment, troubleshooting, and project support.

Hiring Range: $90 000.00 per year.(The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant's education, training, and experience.)
This position is required to travel 10-20% of the time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform regular field inspections and technical assessments of site infrastructure, including groundwater and leachate treatment systems.
Troubleshoot and oversee repairs for mechanical components such as HVAC systems, pumps, motors, piping, valves, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Monitor, troubleshoot, and support the maintenance of PLCs and associated control logic for site treatment and infrastructure.
Participate in design reviews for all site projects to provide input from a mechanical engineering and control system perspective.
Support project implementation via Integrated Work Control Process (IWCP) and Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS).
Keep current with all required training.
Manage Records in accordance with Information Management requirements.
Support Quality Assurance (QA) with internal and external audits, and address (Asset and Issue Management System (AIMS) issues as needed.
Provide timely contribution to Functional organizations for Contract Deliverables as requested.
Accountable for subcontractor and vendor oversight.
Supports safety, compliance, and security for the assigned site/office location.
Oversight of site facility and supporting facility operations issues.
Assist other functional groups in conducting quality assurance, safety and health, and Environmental Management System (EMS) audits of facility.
Ensure that work being done by the contractor and its subcontractors is authorized properly through the work authorization process.
Supports other functional organizations when requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology or related field.
5-10 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance, wastewater treatment, or field engineering.
Licenses and Certifications
Valid Driver's License.
Required Skills and Abilities
Proficient in mechanical systems and fluid dynamics processes. Preferred skill set in industrial water treatment processes.
Practical experience with programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, and automated monitoring systems.
Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on field work, including physical inspections and technical troubleshooting in an outdoor/industrial environment.
Excellent communicator, both verbally and in written form.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations related to mechanical systems and environmental controls.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

Essential Physical Requirements
Medium: Work involves moving objects by exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or an above-negligible amount and up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
