Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity this fall making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse needs. This 12-week assignment begins at the end of August and offers a chance to work with individuals aged 5-22 who have autism and other complex developmental disabilities. Your skills in school-based occupational therapy will help students achieve greater independence, participation, and success within the classroom and beyond.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in Ohio
  • Previous experience in school settings preferred
  • Ability to adapt interventions for diverse learning and developmental needs
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices for students with autism and multiple disabilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, caregivers, and other professionals

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine students' strengths and needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals in coordination with IEP teams
  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services within classroom and therapy room settings
  • Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skills
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes in compliance with school requirements
  • Provide recommendations and training to school staff and families to facilitate carryover of skills
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team approach
