Neurologist

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist to join their collaborative practice. This role offers the opportunity to provide world-class healthcare in America's heartland, serving a broad referral base across multiple states. The position also includes a potential Stroke Program Directorship and an academic appointment at UND School of Medicine and Health Services.

Practice Info

• Collaborative practice of 2 physicians and 1-2 nurse practitioners
• Stroke Program Directorship opportunity available
• Approximately 10 patients per day
• Primary Plus Stroke Center Certification
• Broad referral base spanning Central and Western ND, North Central SD, and Eastern MT
• Opportunity to obtain an academic appointment at UND School of Medicine and Health Services with the opportunity to educate medical students and family medicine residents

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examination
• Admit (if applicable to the setting)
• Provide consultative services
• Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care to patients of all ages presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the neurologic system

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Successful completion of a Neurology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
• Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
• If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
