Nephrology Physician Assistant

Provides diagnosis and treatment of patients within the scope of practice as defined by all applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations, protocols, etc. and within the individual Advanced Practice Provider's (APP) particular clinical specialty area, licensure and competency level. Performs acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures as appropriate.

What You?ll Champion:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays
• Join a collaborative team of 6 Nephrologists and 3 Advanced Practice Professionals
• Shared weekday call rotation for dialysis centers
• Manage adult nephrology patients ages 19+ in outpatient, dialysis, and inpatient settings
• Perform dialysis rounding and chronic disease management at three outpatient dialysis centers and WellSpan York Hospital
• Diagnose and treat Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), ESRD, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, anemia, and post-transplant kidney conditions
• Develop and manage your own outpatient nephrology patient panel
• Provide in-basket coverage and collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and dialysis teams
• Travel between DaVita St. Charles Way, DaVita Roosevelt Avenue, U.S. Renal Care Kenneth Road, and York Hospital; mileage reimbursement provided
• Dialysis and nephrology experience preferred, but strong new graduate NPs with dialysis RN experience are encouraged to apply
• Acute Care or Critical Care experience is a plus

• Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or
