Job Description:

Work Hours/Shift:

  • Full-Time Days
  • Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm
  • $10,000 Sign on Bonus
  • No Weekends/On Call

Job Description:

  • Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
  • Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
  • Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
  • Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
  • Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.

• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals Required

• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English Required

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Required

• General computer skills and PACS Preferred

• General physics and anatomy Preferred

• Experience/knowledge of computers/networking Required

• Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures Required

• Maintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual education Required

• Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures Required

• Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff Required

• Ability to perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail Required

• Excellent customer service skills Required

• Ability to deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all patients and hospital personnel Required

• Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical personnel that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the organization Required

Education:

• Associate Preferred

• High School Grad or Equiv Required

Field of Study:

• N/A

Work Experience:

• 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program Preferred

• (RT)(MR)(ARRT): Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located. Please consult the relevant credential grid for detailed information regarding these requirements.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required

• Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)ARRT Required OR

• Registered MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) Required
