Experienced Industrial Mechanic to work on facility and shop equipment.


Position Summary

This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining facility equipment and production machinery. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled mechanical/electrical technician capable of working from complex diagrams, prints, and specifications while performing precision repairs across multiple systems.

Core Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install components on facility systems and production equipment
  • Read and interpret complex diagrams, drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, including drive trains, machining equipment, pumps, motors, and compressors
  • Tear down, assemble, repair, and calibrate equipment using proper tools and precision measuring devices
  • Operate basic machine tools such as mills and lathes
  • Assist with specifying, selecting, and ordering replacement parts and components
  • Perform mechanical fabrication including cutting, welding, and applying knowledge of metallurgy
  • Conduct plumbing tasks including pipe threading, tubing, and fitting installation
  • Safely operate, inspect, and perform minor repairs on forklifts and man lifts
  • Support machining operations as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all safety procedures

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma plus appropriate technical training or an Associate's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology
  • Minimum 5 years of recent, directly related experience
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job (accommodations available)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands on troubleshooting skills
  • Basic computer proficiency

Additional Training Requirements (Provided After Hire)

Candidates must be willing to complete employer scheduled training in:

  • Electrical fundamentals (AC/DC circuits)
  • Soldering
  • 480V & 240V three phase systems
  • 120V single phase systems
  • Expanded electrical and industrial safety coursework
