Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and dedicated Medical Director of Primary Care to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of medical professionals in providing top-notch primary care services in a federally qualified health center (FQHC). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring quality improvement, and maintaining regulatory compliance. This role requires a strong commitment to patient safety, risk management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities: Oversee the delivery of patient care, ensuring all services are compliant with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Provide direct supervision to medical staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment. Develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols to ensure the highest level of patient care. Conduct regular peer reviews and medical record reviews to assess the quality of care and identify areas for improvement. Lead quality assurance and improvement initiatives, implementing changes as necessary to improve patient outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated care strategies, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care. Manage risks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Work closely with management to develop strategic plans, set goals, and monitor progress. Serve as a key liaison between the medical staff and administration, fostering open communication and collaboration. Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of primary care and ensure the implementation of relevant advancements in our clinical practice. Qualifications: Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in primary care, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience working in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of outpatient medicine and physician supervision. Proven experience in medical staff management and clinical operations. Strong understanding of quality improvement, quality assurance, peer review, and medical record review processes. Experience in clinical protocol development, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Familiarity with integrated care models and interdisciplinary collaboration. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving patient care.
