Salary: $50 - $70 per hour A bit about us: We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support existing power rack designs across multiple hardware platforms. This position will focus primarily on maintaining and updating current mechanical designs, drawings, top-level assembly (TLA) BOMs, and engineering documentation. This is not a concept or new product design role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable stepping into an established hardware environment, making design updates, maintaining accurate engineering documentation, and managing changes through Arena/PDM. The assignment is expected to last approximately five months to cover a maternity leave. Why join us? A contract with weekly pay with overtime pay potential 75% coverage of medical benefits for the employee 25% for dependents Job Details Responsibilities Support existing power rack designs across multiple hardware platforms Make updates and revisions to existing mechanical designs Create, revise, and maintain mechanical drawings and related engineering documentation Maintain and update top-level assembly (TLA) bills of materials (BOMs) Process engineering changes and maintain accurate revision control Manage design and documentation updates within Arena/PDM Ensure drawings, BOMs, and product documentation remain accurate and consistent Work within established mechanical designs and product requirements Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to implement required changes Support documentation and knowledge transfer during the transition periods at the beginning and end of the assignment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline Professional experience supporting mechanical designs for complex hardware products or systems Strong experience creating and revising mechanical drawings Experience maintaining BOMs and engineering documentation Hands-on experience with engineering change control and revision management Experience working within a PDM/PLM system; Arena experience is highly preferred Ability to understand and modify existing mechanical designs rather than focusing solely on new concept development Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate engineering documentation Ability to quickly become productive within an established engineering environment Preferred Experience Experience supporting racks, enclosures, power systems, servers, data center equipment, or other complex electromechanical hardware Experience with top-level assemblies and multi-platform hardware products Previous experience with Arena PLM/PDM Experience supporting sustaining engineering or product lifecycle activities Comfortable working on a short-term contract assignment and taking ownership of established engineering work Interested in hearing more?
