Mechanic (School Bus Company)

We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Bus Mechanic to join our transportation team. The mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of school buses to ensure they operate safely and meet all state and federal safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, tire inspections, and fluid checks
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on school buses
• Inspect buses to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Repair or replace defective components such as engines, brakes, and steering systems
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
• Assist with preparing vehicles for state and DOT inspections

Qualifications

• Experience working with diesel engines or fleet vehicles preferred
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
• Valid driver's license required
• ASE certification is a plus
