Are you a hands-on Quality professional ready to take ownership and build something great? We are seeking a seasoned & veteran Quality Inspector to establish, structure, and lead our Quality Department from the ground up.
In this role, you will combine shop-floor expertise with strategic process building. You'll be the go-to expert for programming CMMs, executing First Article Inspections (FAIs), and setting the standard for quality across our high-precision CNC machining operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild from Scratch: Establish, document, and implement quality processes, inspection workflows, and shop-wide standards from the ground up.
CMM Operations: Program and operate CMM equipment for complex, precision-machined CNC parts.
Traditional Inspection: Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections using traditional mechanical tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, pitch micrometers, etc.).
Process Improvement: Identify root causes of non-conformances and implement corrective actions to boost overall shop yield.
Team Leadership: Work collaboratively with machinists, engineering, and shop leadership as a key team player to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Experience: 3+ years in a Senior QC Inspector or QC Lead/Supervisor role within a precision CNC machine shop.
Technical Skills: Proven ability to program and operate CMMs. Exceptional mastery of GD&T and traditional mechanical inspection tools.
Process Building: Demonstrated track record of creating quality standards and inspection procedures from scratch.
Soft Skills: Team-first mentality, great communication skills, and a practical, problem-solving approach on the shop floor.
Competitive compensation up to $38.00/hr based on experience.
