LPN - Retail Health Clinic - Immunizations Compensation

• Competitive pay rate: $37.17 per hour

LPN - Retail Health Clinic - Immunizations Highlights

• Onsite, patient-facing role
• Full-time, 32-40 hours per week
• Includes every other weekend and some major holidays

LPN - Retail Health Clinic - Immunizations Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations and injections, including influenza, COVID, and TB test placements
• Obtain vital signs and accurately document patient information in the EMR
• Provide emergency care in collaboration with the on-site provider during urgent situations
• Perform patient registration, intake, and checkout
• Assist with wait room management, patient reminder calls, appointment scheduling, and chaperoning sensitive exams
• Prepare the clinic and waiting space to ensure the best patient experience
• Help meet the mission to improve health outcomes through patient-focused care

LPN - Retail Health Clinic - Immunizations Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Current BLS certification (expiration date must be at least 30 days beyond the start date)
• Minimum of 1 year of related healthcare experience
• Experience administering immunizations and injections required
• Experience providing vaccine education and counseling to patients
• Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR), preferably EPIC
• Ability to obtain and document vital signs
• Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings required
• Ability to work the required schedule, including every other weekend and select major holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Experience working in a fast-paced ambulatory or retail clinic environment

Important Information

• Nurses whose experience is primarily in long-term care, skilled nursing facilities, LTAC, or home health settings may not be the best fit for this clinic environment.
