Logistics Specialist

Position: Logistics Specialist
Daechang Alabama, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support materials planning, inventory control, warehouse operations, and inbound and outbound logistics activities in an automotive manufacturing environment. The position will coordinate with suppliers, carriers, customers, and internal departments to maintain accurate inventory records, ensure timely material availability, and support efficient production and delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of raw materials, components, and finished products.
Review customer orders, production schedules, inventory levels, and supplier delivery plans to support timely material availability.
Maintain accurate materials, inventory, receiving, and shipping records through ERP, SAP, MES, warehouse management, or related systems.
Monitor supplier deliveries and transportation schedules and follow up on delays, shortages, and other logistics issues.
Conduct inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, and discrepancy analysis and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Coordinate with purchasing, production, quality, warehouse, and transportation personnel to maintain efficient material flow.
Support warehouse organization, storage planning, material-location control, and rack utilization.
Prepare and review purchase orders, shipping documents, receiving records, delivery schedules, and other logistics documentation.
Track inventory levels, shipment status, delivery performance, and other logistics-related indicators and prepare regular reports.
Identify inefficiencies in inventory, warehouse, and transportation processes and assist with operational improvements.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping activities.
Support compliance with applicable transportation, workplace safety, and company requirements.
Perform other logistics and supply chain duties as assigned.

Requirements
Bachelors degree preferred; relevant logistics, inventory-control, warehouse, or supply chain experience may be considered.
At least one year of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, materials management, inventory control, warehousing, or a related area preferred.
Experience using ERP, SAP, MES, warehouse management, or similar business systems preferred.
Working knowledge of inventory control, materials flow, shipping and receiving, and logistics documentation.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, carriers, and customers.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
