Support loan servicing operations with a focus on taxes and insurance (T&I), including loan boarding, payment processing, payoffs, escrow administration, insurance tracking, and escrow account maintenance. Collaborate with Mortgage Originations, Post Closing, Finance, and Member Experience teams to resolve discrepancies, ensure data accuracy, and provide backup support for operational processes throughout the loan lifecycle. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal, State, CFPB, and NCUA regulations, while delivering a high standard of operational accuracy and member service. This position is hybrid. NYC Salary Range - $62,290 - $68,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location. Core Loan Servicing Operations: Support loan boarding, escrow setup, payment processing, reconciliations, and loan payoff activities, including validation of loan terms and per diem calculations. Identify and resolve discrepancies between origination and servicing systems while supporting investor reporting and overall servicing accuracy. Taxes & Insurance (T&I): Ensure timely and accurate tax and insurance disbursements while maintaining escrow accounts and calculations. Monitor insurance expirations and upcoming obligations to verify coverage compliance and manage lender-placed insurance and refunds. Review vendor reports, resolve issues as needed, and maintain accurate payee records. Escrow & Reconciliation: Support escrow analysis and reconcile outstanding escrow checks to ensure account accuracy. Investigate and escalate non-payment issues while assisting members with escrow-related inquiries. Compliance & Service: Ensure compliance with RESPA, CFPB, and investor guidelines while staying current on regulatory changes. Maintain confidentiality and deliver a high standard of member service. Develop and update policies and procedures as needed and perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Uphold UNFCU's compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures, including: Maintain awareness of and report suspicious activity Complete all relevant BSA reports promptly and accurately (e.g. CTRs, SARs) Complete annual BSA/AML/OFAC training Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience 2 years of related work experience in loan servicing or in work that provided a working knowledge of mortgage loan products. Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills with a high level of diligence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professionalism, empathy, and courtesy demonstrated in all interactions. Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
