Legal Collections Specialist (Paralegal)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Collections Specialist to join a thriving team in the working in retail real estate. This role involves managing collections processes and ensuring compliance with legal standards in a fast-paced environment. Client Details Our client is a well-established, medium-sized organization in retail real estate. The company is known for its commitment to excellence and its focus on providing exceptional service to its clients. This role partners closely with the Accounts Recievable and Legal team, as well as outside counsel as needed. Description Manage collections processes, ensuring timely payments from clients and tenants. Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and communications. Collaborate with the legal department to address non-payment issues and initiate appropriate legal actions when necessary. Review and analyze delinquent accounts to determine effective strategies for resolution. Handle negotiations and payment arrangements with clients and tenants in a professional manner. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to collections and property management. Prepare detailed reports on collection activities for internal stakeholders. Support the legal team with documentation and case preparation as needed. Profile A successful Legal Collections Specialist should have: 3+ years of legal experience, ideally in retail real estate, or within a law firm setting. Educational background in law, finance, or a related field. Strong knowledge of legal processes and regulations related to collections. Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems used in collections and legal processes. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
