Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Lean Practitioner to join the Flight Performance Paint and Delivery team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st Shift!

The successful candidate must be able to instruct others in continuous improvement tools and principles. Assists in formatting updated training materials. Leads and facilitates (Lean tool certified) process improvement efforts. Supports advanced continuous improvement tool application. Participate in strategy development. Conducts Beta tests on new tools.

In this role you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and teaching employees to solve problems across the production system and mature knowledge and application of lean tools and practices at the team or factory level, and across the entire 787 value stream.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Instructing others in continuous improvement tools and principles

  • Assist in formatting updated training materials

  • Leads and facilitates (Lean tool certified) process improvement efforts

  • Supports advanced continuous improvement tool application

  • Participates in strategy development

  • Conducts Beta tests on new tools

  • Required to be available to attend 2nd and 3rd shifts based on business need for periodic observations

  • Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job

  • Exhibits Boeing Behaviors

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • 1+ year experience using Lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools in the workplace

  • 1+ year experience with analyzing data and generating metrics reports

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of 787 Program Experience

Summary Pay Range: $96,050-$129,950
