Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Product Experience Designer to shape intuitive experiences across our software products. You will turn complex business challenges into clear, accessible solutions while guiding design strategy, research, prototyping, and delivery. This role also mentors designers, strengthens our design system, and partners closely with Product and Engineering.
Responsibilities
Product Design Leadership
Define the product experience vision and ensure it supports customer and business goals.
Establish standards for usability, accessibility, consistency, and visual quality.
Mentor designers through critiques, coaching, and collaborative problem-solving.
Communicate design decisions clearly to executives, product managers, and engineers.
Promote a culture of experimentation, learning, and customer-focused design.
Research and Strategy
Plan interviews, surveys, usability studies, and other discovery activities.
Translate research and product data into personas, journeys, design principles, and requirements.
Review competitor products and industry trends to identify opportunities.
Use qualitative and quantitative evidence to guide priorities and design decisions.
Simplify complicated workflows to reduce effort, confusion, and cognitive load.
Design and Delivery
Produce user flows, information architecture, wireframes, interface designs, and interactive prototypes.
Design thoughtful interactions and micro-interactions across complex web applications.
Test concepts with users and improve solutions through feedback, analytics, and A/B testing.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and QA throughout discovery, handoff, and implementation.
Review completed features to ensure the delivered experience matches the approved design.
Design Systems and AI
Own and expand Figma libraries, reusable components, patterns, and documentation.
Improve design-system adoption and consistency across product teams.
Use AI tools for research synthesis, ideation, UX writing, concept development, and repetitive tasks.
Evaluate emerging AI capabilities that improve efficiency or enable personalized experiences.
Promote responsible, transparent, and ethical use of AI in product design.
Requirements
At least five years of product design experience, preferably with SaaS, B2B, or complex web applications.
Strong portfolio showing research, UX strategy, interaction design, prototyping, and measurable outcomes.
Advanced Figma skills and experience building scalable design systems.
Strong understanding of user research, journey mapping, information architecture, and usability testing.
Ability to convert complex requirements and data into simple, effective product experiences.
Excellent storytelling, presentation, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
Experience mentoring designers and leading design critiques.
Familiarity with Jira, (link removed), Aha!, Trello, or similar tools is helpful.
Google UX Design or Interaction Design Foundation certification is an advantage.
Performance Goals
Expand the design system within six months to cover 90% of new-feature components and achieve full team adoption.
Improve design-to-development handoff by Q2, reducing design cycle time by 20% and design-related QA tickets by 15%.
Launch a structured user-feedback program within three months and run at least two usability studies per quarter for major initiatives.
Pilot two AI-enabled design tools within four months and recommend solutions capable of reducing concept-development time by 30%.
Improve onboarding completion by 15% through research, redesign, and A/B testing by the end of Q3.
Introduce a standardized stakeholder review process by the end of Q1, reaching 95% adoption and reducing late-stage changes by 20%.
