What You'll Do:
Skillfully draw blood specimens from patients across all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations, ensuring comfort and safety.
Prepare and process specimens for lab testing, adhering strictly to established protocols and standards.
Verify patient demographics and ensure proper labeling of samples, maintaining accuracy and integrity of all specimens collected.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining procedures to patients, building trust and confidence during each encounter.
Maintain detailed records and documentation, ensuring compliance with all policies, security, and confidentiality requirements.
Support a clean, safe, and professional environment, demonstrating leadership behaviors and process excellence in daily tasks.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to operational needs across multiple locations, including patient service centers and outpatient settings.
Exercise sound judgment to make decisions based on established procedures, especially in high-volume settings.
Demonstrate flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license if travel is required.
Required Skills:
Minimum of three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Proven ability to draw high-quality, error-free specimens in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of venipuncture techniques, with proficiency in pediatric and geriatric blood draws.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
Capable of multitasking and prioritizing in high-volume, dynamic settings.
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a team-oriented approach.
Proficient in keyboarding and data entry skills necessary for accurate record keeping.
Nice to Have Skills:
Medical assistant or paramedic training.
Certification in phlebotomy (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience working in a Patient Service Center environment.
Familiarity with medical data management systems and healthcare software.
Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
