LATAVCO (Prime Vendor) is staffing for 3 Instructional Designer II roles for our higher educational client in North Houston, TX area. These will be FT temporary 40 hours a week contracts. Long Term.

Job Title: Instructional Designer II (3 roles)
Start Date: October 1, 2026

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Oversees development of curricula or programs by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in support of a functional area.
2. Develops and conducts individual and group training workshops. Utilizes eLearning tools to develop web-base training. May advise online faculty on appropriate instructional technologies including online learning/web-based formats.
3. Conducts complex needs assessments and provides on-going analysis of learning programs across a broad spectrum of positions.
4. Evaluates training programs or curricula for effectiveness and desired outcomes. Utilizes feedback to initiate changes, refinements, and improvements.
5. Designs and develop highly complex course curricula and related content and materials.
6. May serve as primary Online representative/point of contact for Life Long Learning online instructors providing online, phone, email, and desk-side support. Troubleshoots and resolve Tier 1 and 2 level technical issues.
7. Responsible for leadership of a variety of learning/instructional design projects.
8. Develops strategic plans for development of training curricula, professional development and technical programs.
9. Consults with leaders of major constituency groups within the organization to assess, trend, and analyze learning needs of employees based on current and future strategic plans.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

. Extensive knowledge of ADDIE course design
. Broad knowledge of adult learning principles, practices and procedures
. Attention to detail and ability to cope with several tasks simultaneously, and remaining detail oriented
. Strong initiative and analytical skills
. Capable of performing project lead in cross functional teams
. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
. Excellent skills with on-line learning products and technologies
. Some project management skills or team leadership
. Ability to determine own approach for completing work
. Ability to make rational decisions
. Ability to define a problem and figure out solution

Some SAP Knowledge
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

. Bachelors degree and at least 4 years of experience in Education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

. Bachelors degree in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, or Organizational Development
. At least 4 years of experience implementing ADDIE Model of instructional design.
. At least 4 years of experience in Design coursework with labs in ILT industry.
