Instructional Assistant - Gretna, LA

Step into a vital educational support role as a full-time Para/VOCO Facilitator for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity places you at the forefront of student learning, supporting a virtual school psychologist or speech-language pathologist while assisting students within a dynamic school community near Gretna, LA.

This assignment runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers consistent weekday hours-35 per week, spread across 7-hour days (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). The exact school(s) and caseload details will be shared prior to placement, and you'll work directly with students of various ages in special education settings.

Ideal candidates bring passion, reliability, and previous experience in SPED classrooms. You'll serve as an on-the-ground facilitator, ensuring smooth communication between students and remote specialists, providing classroom management, and encouraging student participation during virtual sessions.

Required qualifications include:

• Associate's degree OR at least 48 completed college credits OR a Paraprofessional Assessment score of 450 +
• Demonstrated experience supporting students in special education classrooms
• Ability to pass drug screening and fingerprinting per district regulations
• Commitment to fulfilling all onboarding and credentialing requirements promptly
