We are looking for a hands-on Lead Installer / Delivery Driver who takes pride in their work, can lead a small crew, and wants to grow with a company that values quality, teamwork, and customer service.

Position Overview

The Installer / Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering office furniture to client sites, leading on-site installations, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role is ideal for someone with experience in commercial office furniture systems who is ready to take the lead in the field.

This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, leadership ability, and a commitment to providing excellent service from delivery through final installation.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Project Execution

  • Install office furniture, including cubicles, desks, seating, conference room furniture, and related products
  • Perform decommissions, reconfigurations, and office relocations
  • Read and execute floor plans, layouts, and installation drawings
  • Complete punch list items and final walkthroughs to ensure customer satisfaction

Teamwork

  • Assist in leading and manage installation crews on job sites
  • Delegate tasks and maintain productivity throughout each project
  • Train, guide, and support junior installers
  • Ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule

Delivery & Logistics

  • Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver furniture to customer locations
  • Load and unload furniture using proper handling techniques and equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts as needed
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure jobs are staged properly and ready for delivery
  • Verify product counts, materials, and job readiness before leaving for site
  • Follow route plans efficiently while adapting to traffic and site conditions

Customer Service

  • Serve as the main point of contact on-site when needed
  • Communicate project updates and resolve issues professionally
  • Provide a positive customer experience from arrival through project completion

Documentation & Safety

  • Complete digital work orders, delivery paperwork, and installation sign-offs
  • Use tablets for customer signatures and job tracking
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Follow company safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial furniture installation experience
  • Experience with cubicle systems; familiarity with brands such as Steelcase, Herman Miller, and Haworth preferred
  • Previous crew lead or leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to read floor plans and installation drawings
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work on active job sites throughout the day
  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
  • Able to work in warehouse, delivery, and field environments
