Industrial Refrigeration Technician

Our client is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join their industrial facility in southeastern North Carolina. This role works on ammonia- and freon-based refrigeration systems that are critical to daily production operations. Refrigeration Technician Responsibilities: - Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on industrial ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems - Conduct routine inspections to catch potential issues before they cause downtime - Respond quickly to refrigeration system malfunctions to minimize production impact - Maintain accurate service, repair, and maintenance records - Partner with plant operations and maintenance teams to support overall facility uptime - Follow all required safety protocols when working with ammonia-based systems Refrigeration Technician Requirements: - 5+ years of hands-on experience with industrial ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems - Background in a protein, food processing, or similar industrial manufacturing environment - CIRO or CARO certification (or actively working toward one) - Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
